Review The Art Of Wellness Book Launch 27th April 2012
Happy people at the event. Something tells me that ‘The Art Of Wellness book’ is finally launched and launched in style… We had a terrific night introducing
some of our delightful and passionate speakers to the public… These people have given a very special part of themselves to this book, and it seemed fitting to acknowledge them for their outstanding contribution. I would also like to thank all the people who have purchased a copy of the book so far. This book is testimony to gracious and loving health practitioners and business people who deserve to be promoted and respected.
We heard from Trent and Jenna, who told their story about their health journey and their dear little son’s heat issue. We heard from Tracey Carmichael, who is the author of the HAPPY MIND FORMULA. Tracey reminded us about her understanding of depression and how we are dealing with more stress in our modern times.
We had the pleasure of hearing Carol Armstrong talk about her journey to finding out about skin care and developing her own range of skin creams and applications that are natural and non toxic. Carol shared with us about her new online magazine, and the joy this magazine is bringing to all who take the time to read it.
We also heard from Vanessa Bushell, who told us about her extensive experience as a psychologist, and the work she has done. Vanessa has created an amazing CD – which I use with my clients on the SOLAR CHI bed, and in meditations and relaxation sessions. We heard from Jenni Parry who really knows how to write and contributed to the book with her personal story.
Have you ever resisted doing something so much only to find out it was not only worth doing but quite empowering and beneficial for the relationship with your child… Jenni has heaps of stories, and has set herself a task of writing 365 blogs, and it being a leap year for 2012, she has made a smidgen more work for herself.
Jean Sheehan, gave complete value to all of us, when she explained a little more about the way society treats a spirited child, or labels them. Jean is the founder of millennium Education and she has unique gifts that she graciously shares with people who are interested and open to this sort of learning. Jean, once again inspired us in the time that she spoke… Thank you all of you for being there and celebrating the launch…
Darryl Clark shared some gifts – little damp sacks, that can be used to put in the wardrobe or in packaging boxes to reduce the potential for mould growth and draw out the moisture. Darryl wrote a clever chapter in TAOW book on ‘healthy homes’. Once again thank you Darryl for your contribution.
I spoke to the whole group about what propels me to work in the health industry, and how a personal experience accelerated my desire to continue to write and churn out more books… This was a particularly pivotal point for me, seeing a physic who told me I wouldn’t write any books or be successful just spurred me on… So I thanked him for that. Out of a very negative reading a lot of positive things developed.
We served up some raw foods, dips, and goodie balls, and everyone was happy. I made a punch drink out of Isagenix Citrus flavour powder, Antioxidant drink base, and Jade Green Zymes… so what a mix this was… I liked it anyway… Officially The Art Of Wellness book is here, and you can buy it from www.bewell.com.au for $22.00. Be sure to leave a comment when you have a chance. if you order direct with me over the phone, you will get the book for $20.00. Phone. 0402 166 187 – Yes I take credit card.!thank you. Lincoln Hall – The Man who survived a night on Mt. Everest
As I was driving to Mooloolabah TAFE on Thursday 22nd March, I happened to listen to an interview on 6.12 radio with Richard Fidler and Lincoln Hall. I am inspired by all things Everest, and wanted to learn more about Lincoln Hall after I heard him speak with Richard. He described his night on Everest (unheard of), and about the hallucinations etc. A fascinating story. I dedicate this post in his memory, as he died on Wednesday 21st March, his is survived by his wife and 2 sons…

A Bump On The Head!
I aspire to make Monday one of those days that I like to give myself to catch up, to rest a little if I need to, however I ended up pulling out weeds and putting out washing and cleaning up after everybody else. Doesn’t sound like a rest does it? I usually do my stall on Sundays, and find that by the time Monday comes around I need a bit of a break. But I didn’t do that today, I was out there in the garden, going for it, pulling out weeds, all juicy and prolific from recent rainfall, so they were tall, leafy and strong. I moved rocks, and filled my finger nails with mud and soil, and promised myself a manicure later. I was mentally assessing how much of the lawn I could get and planning my frenetic activity when I had a little accident…
